On Thursday 16th January there was a general meeting held for the Tennis Players within the club. The main points of discussion at the meeting revolved around the Box Leagues, revamping the Club Championships and some points relating to the DL Teams were also discussed.

Following the meeting, there was a presentation of trophies and runners up prizes for the Autumn Box Leagues. The top three places in each division were presented with a prize in recognition of their performances during the second season of the competition.

Following the success of the inaugural Summer 2019 season, a fourth division was created to accommodate the extra players who wanted to get involved for the Autumn season. It’s been great to see so many male and female players of varying ages and ability get involved.

The trophies for the Box Leagues were provided and sponsored by Finance Advice Centre (Division 1), Virtual Estates (Division 2) and The Apple Tree Teahouse & Gift Shop Ockbrook (Divison 3) and Finance Advice Wealth (Division 4).

The Winter League is now underway with a number of extra players meaning an extra division has now been created to make five divisions in total. Good luck to all players involved!

On Sunday a social event was held for the David Lloyd Summer Tennis Box Leagues. Those attending enjoyed a Sports related quiz, as well as the presentation of trophies and runners up prizes. The evening was finished off with a buffet, drinks and some people meeting and conversing for the first time.

It’s been fantastic to not only see so many players get involved in playing in the league but also such a fabulous social turnout from many of the tennis players within the club.

The trophies for the leagues were provided and sponsored by Finance Advice Centre (Division 1), Virtual Home Tours (Division 2) and The Apple Tree Teahouse and Gift Shop Ockbrook (Divison 3).

The Autumn league is now underway with a number of extra players meaning an extra division has now been created to make four divisions in total. Good luck to all players!
